Venue Details for the Africa Continental Cup 2026
Both venues used for this tournament sit inside the same Gahanga cricket complex on the edge of Kigali.
- The Rwanda Cricket Association owns the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium, which has a listed capacity of between 5,000 and 10,000.
- The venue hosted its first men’s T20I in August 2021 and has since become Rwanda’s main international ground.
- Gahanga B Ground sits within the same complex and regularly hosts the early rounds of tournaments before the bigger games move to the main stadium.
- The developers built the wider Gahanga site across 4.5 hectares of land, allowing the complex to accommodate multiple grounds side by side.
Fans following other associate nations this month can also catch up with the India vs Japan T20I Suzuki Cup 2026, another series putting emerging cricket markets in the spotlight.
Sierra Leone’s Debut Could Be the Story of This Edition
Uganda go in as favourites, but a five team tournament rarely stays predictable for long, especially with Sierra Leone playing their first Continental Cup and looking to make an immediate mark.
The double round-robin format gives every side a fair chance to reach the top four before the final on September 19.. With matches shifting to the bigger stadium in the back half of the tournament, conditions and crowds could shift the story just as much as form does.
