The match was reduced to 16 overs a side because of rain, and Sharma used every ball of it, finishing unbeaten on 103 off just 31 deliveries with five fours and 12 sixes. Piyush Joshi added 27 and Sanskar Rawat chipped in with 28 to push the total past 190.

Mussoorie Thunder lost both openers with only nine runs on the board, and although Anmol Shah, Akhil Singh Rawat and Jonty all got starts, Nishu Patel and Siddharth Gupta took three wickets apiece to bowl the chase out for 153. Source: The News Mill (with ANI inputs).

How the Dehradun T20 League Points System Worked

The tournament followed the standard format used across comparable T20 leagues in India, now that the full season has played out.

  • A win earned two points, and a loss earned zero, across all fifteen league phase matches.
  • Matches with no result, and there were a few because of rain, earned one point each side.
  • Net run rate served as a tiebreaker, though the final league standings show wins carried more weight than NRR alone when the top four were decided.
  • The top four sides after the league phase advanced to the knockouts, with Herbertpur Knight Riders and Rishikesh Dragons missing out.

Selaqui Strikers Have Given Uttarakhand Cricket Its First Big Trophy

A rain hit final couldn’t take the shine off Vijay Sharma’s innings, and Selaqui Strikers now have the first Dehradun T20 League title to their name. Priyank Singh’s all round season and Anshul Kumar’s breakout performances suggest there’s real depth building in the region’s domestic pool. If the tournament returns next year, it will have a genuine debut season to measure itself against.
